Director of Shelter Services, Women Against Abuse, Philadelphia (Posted February 5)
Provides overall direction and supervision of the Agency’s Emergency Shelter programs and services and ensures that they meet all external regulations. Also, assists the Deputy Director in strategic planning, including evaluating programs, services, and staff development. Provides a leadership role within the community and representative of the agency on external committees and functions & events.

Additional Qualifications:
A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related Social Science field is required with a minimum of fthree (3) years experience supervising staff in a complex social services organization. With two (2) of these years spent in program development, implementation, administration and evaluation with this experience in an emergency shelter preferred. A minimum five ( 5) years counseling experience is required. Bilingualism and some experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred.Knowledge of the Sanctuary Model is a plus.
