Senior Programs Coordinator, William Way Center, Philadelphia (Posted February 10)
Responsibilities:
1.Manage current senior programs: Silver Foxes, Connecting Generations, Tuesday Mornings Out, and Women’s Wednesdays.
2.Connecting Generations
a.Conduct initial site visits to senior participants of the program as well as match appropriate volunteers with program participants.
b.Track and document volunteer and senior involvement with the program.
c.Conduct community outreach to identify participants by visiting senior living facilities, networking with members of the current senior programs, etc.
d.Create at least 30 new matches by January 2010.
e.Speak monthly with volunteers and senior participants of the program.
3.Silver Foxes
a.Create monthly meeting topics with input from the group and ensure no less than 8 presenters per year.
b.Facilitate monthly meetings, including set-up and break-down
4.Tuesday Mornings Out/Women’s Wednesdays
a.Facilitate meetings, create discussion topics for advertisement, attend occasional group outings, ensure set-up/break-down of each meeting
5.Maintain all organization files for senior programs including demographic information, case records, intake-assessments, and correspondence.
6.Implement a system for evaluating Outcomes Measurements for all senior programs.
7.Coordinate monthly mailing for senior programs.
Work Environment
The Senior Programs Coordinator works in a main office that includes significant foot traffic and continuous interruptions. The Senior Programs Coordinator has access to confidential information and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of this information. This is a part- time position requiring evening and weekend work and some light travel.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required
•Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
•Friendly, personable and warm personality
•Proficient administrative skills, including organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
•Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
•Familiarity with databases, including designing and running queries, as well as merging data.
•Familiarity with creating marketing materials including flyers, press releases, and invitations.
•Ability to make decisions independently as well as to execute assignments of administrative detail as delegated.
